Jim began his career as a photographer in the United States Air Force from 1989 - 1996. His job as a photographer included head and shoulder portraits in the studio, location shoots for the base newspaper, historical events on the base and aircraft accidents. He followed many important people such as senators, congressmen and Russian VIPs that visited the base.
While in the Air Force, he was also in charge of activities from processing film to printing the images the old fashioned way with the dip and dunk method in chemicals. His base was one of four worldwide that was able to test the new technology of digital imaging before the newspapers or other businesses had the capability.
After his career in the Air Force he attended the Photojournalism School at Ohio University. Shortly after that he realized his dream of wanting to run his own business which he started in 1995 and built his studio in 1999. He started shooting weddings in 1995, freelanced for the Columbus Dispatch and worked for Brian Blauser of B&B Studios who is now his business partner. He grew from being a wedding photographer to photographing little league sports, seniors, families, children and business portraits. He also photographs the entire school system of The Alexander School district. Jim and Brian can cover any of your photographic needs.

Kayla is the newest member of our group. She’s been working with us for about 4 years now and has become a great addition to the team. Her main duties are assistant photographer to Jim during weddings, sports, seniors, etc. In addition, Kayla helps with managing the schedule, editing pictures, maintaining the office, and making sure there is always laughter to lighten the mood. Kayla graduated from New York University with a Liberal Arts degree. Photography wasn’t always a passion of hers but her other passions like writing and reading guided her towards it. She had discovered that photography finishes the story when you fail to put it into words and that the job has little to do with what you see but with the way you see it. Creative minds seek out a creative life.
